Terms of Service

Plain version: you pay monthly or yearly, you can cancel any time, rankings can't be bought, and don't abuse the service. The details are below.
1. Who we are
Automadic is a sole proprietorship operated by Steve Mallett in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada ("Automadic", "we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@automadic.ai.
These terms cover every Automadic product, including AgentRank (agentrank-ai.com), pline (pline.app) and Proofwork. A product page may add terms specific to that product; if the two conflict, the product page wins for that product.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter a contract. If you buy for a company, you confirm you're authorized to bind it. Keep your login and API keys private; you're responsible for activity under them.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. Prices are shown before checkout and are in US dollars unless stated otherwise.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel any time; access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Card statements show AUTOMADIC.AI or the product name (for example AGENTRANK).
- Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
- Applicable sales taxes may be added at checkout.
- We may change prices for future billing periods. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and the change never applies to a period you've already paid for.
Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
4. Rankings and sponsored placement (AgentRank)
AgentRank scores come from public signals such as GitHub activity, using the published methodology. Payment never changes a score or rank. Sponsored placement is shown in marked positions and is always labelled as sponsored. We may decline or remove sponsored content that is misleading, unlawful or unrelated to the listing, with a pro-rated refund of unused time.
Rankings and data are provided for information only. They reflect automated analysis at a point in time and can be incomplete or out of date. Don't rely on them as the sole basis for security, purchasing or investment decisions.
5. Data products (pline)
Lead lists are compiled from publicly available sources. You're responsible for how you use them, including complying with anti-spam and privacy laws where you and your recipients are (for example CASL in Canada and CAN-SPAM in the US): send only lawful messages, identify yourself, and honour unsubscribe requests. Don't resell or republish the lists as a standalone dataset.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use our products to break the law, send spam, infringe others' rights, attack or overload our systems, get around rate limits or access controls, or scrape our sites beyond what our API terms and robots.txt allow. We may suspend access that does, and we'll tell you why unless the law or security prevents it.
7. Your content
If you submit content, such as a listing description, logo or sponsored copy, you keep ownership of it. You give us a licence to host and display it to run the service, and you confirm you have the right to provide it.
8. Our content and the API
Our sites, software, scores and compiled data belong to Automadic. With an active plan, you may use the API and data within the limits of that plan. Free embeds and badges may be used as provided, as long as they link back to the source page.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the services running but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid product, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid time you can't use.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the services are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Automadic isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Termination
You can stop using the services and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end access for a material breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as payment obligations, disclaimers and limits of liability) will survive.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Nova Scotia have jurisdiction, unless the consumer law of your home jurisdiction gives you the right to bring a claim there.
14. Changes to these terms
We'll post changes here and update the date above. For material changes affecting paid plans, we'll email subscribers at least 30 days before they take effect.
